Summary: Bring client ideas to life with your hands and your craft. As a Bench Carpenter at Carolina Reclaimed, you will transform raw materials into one-of-a-kind pieces, work with design plans and team members, get hands-on experience with some fabrication, and uphold the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft custom pieces according to design plans and specifications.
• Prepare, cut, shape, and assemble reclaimed/locally sourced wood and other materials (ie. resin, metal, etc.)
• Sand, finish, and refine pieces to meet our quality standards.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and to client expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.

Requirements:

• Experience in woodworking or carpentry (cabinet- making preferred).
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• High attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
• Physical ability to handle heavy materials safely.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Passion for sustainability/reclaimed materials is a plus.
• Reliable vehicle to get to the workshop, conduct site visits, or do on-site installations.

Summary: Support our workshop and production processes while gaining hands-on experience in custom woodworking and some fabrication. The Shop Assistant ensures the workshop runs smoothly, assists our carpenters, and helps maintain a safe, organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with cutting, sanding, finishing, and assembly.
• Move and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop.
• Track inventory and report supply needs.
• Prepare pieces for delivery or shipping.
• Follow all safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Experience in a workshop, warehouse, or hands-on environment preferred.
• Ability to lift and safely move heavy materials.
• Basic woodworking knowledge is helpful but not required.
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Willingness to learn from senior team members.
• Positive attitude and strong team player.
• Passion for sustainability/reclaimed materials is a plus.
• Reliable vehicle to get to the workshop, join site visits, or assist with on-site installations.
